IoT Cube

During our time at Savognin, we learned about the uses and functions of IoT. One of the major projects that we had to undertake was creating our own IoT device to measure and visualize our data.
Vincent and Noelle began working on the Cube from the very beginning, learning about the functions of the various sensors that come with the cube to be able to measure all the various ongoing data as well as establish a secure connection to our IoT Gateway.

Dollhouse

Vanessa and Jhen began their teambuilding exercise with the Dollhouse, learning about the Raspberry Pi-based IoT to control their Smart Dollhouse with measuring probes such as light sensors and temperature sensors that are physically visualised with different monitors.

First day on the Pist

After finishing our work for the day, we were allowed to hit the slopes in the afternoon. Experienced skiers relished their time on the pist, while newcomers to skiing and snowboarding had the opportunity to learn on the beginner slopes. We stayed in groups and discovered the pist but also Savognin. We had alot of fun but after the day programm, we were super hungry. The food was amazing and then we slept linke stones.
Tuesday IoT! 23-01-2024
On our second day, we grouped both projects together and began merging them using an IoT Hub to connect all the different IoT devices to the cloud. Our goal for these projects is to collect geolocational data from the ski piste.
After a productive morning, we returned to the piste to have some fun and enjoy the views from the mountain.
GBS then treated us to a very Swiss dinner for our Dutch guests, where we enjoyed fondue together atop the mountains.

On Wednesday we Integrated the Geolocating program into the cube which enabled us to take it onto the slopes, accurately showcasing our precise location.

Thursday was the day when we were able to create an IoT product from our imagination with a Design Concept
